Entrepreneurs need good business ideas. Successful entrepreneurs take these ideas, scale them using the right tools and organizational skills, and build a brand.
Raven Gibson’s journey is the perfect example. She used her passion for graphic design and her love of her natural hair to create Legendary Rootza fashion and accessories brand dedicated to the empowerment and development of black women. Legendary Rootz started as a side hustle of Raven’s while she was still a student. Although she has never run a business before, her designs can now be found at Target.
To grow her business, Raven uses a set of tools to capture her creativity and deliver a great shopping experience to her customers.

3 tools and tips to help you manage your business
When it comes to staying organized to bring her ideas to life, Raven relies on specific tools:
1. Bulk import to Numbers
With so many different touchpoints for its brand, Raven uses bulk import to track data. “You can export and import your CSVs, filter by tags, collection and visibility,” says Raven.
It uses bulk import on it Numbers spreadsheet to view all your orders and customer profiles at once. This helps them make sure everything is in order on the back end of their website and matches the customer’s order.
2. Zendesk
For customer service management, Raven recommends Zendesk. “With Zendesk, I can retrieve an email, the customer’s information, their orders and shipping information all at once,” she explains. Having this information in one place helps the team quickly fulfill orders or resolve issues when they arise. “This has helped us streamline the process so we can help customers more quickly.”
3. Concept
When it comes to tracking creative ideas, Raven relies on Notion to stay organized. “Ideas flow, and instead of rushing, I write them down in Notion. I have a database where I keep track of all my ideas, who I’m considering the design for and how I want to market it.
Notion allows Raven to conceptualize the roadmap for each product before launching into production or prematurely bringing a design to market. Having tools to organize your creative process allows you to follow the muse when she arrives, without worrying about losing any of your big ideas.
